We mold this shell from thick black polypropylene to take the bumps of a truck bed. Inside, a layer of convoluted egg-crate foam meets closed-cell polyethylene along the base, sandwiching your rifle so it cannot slide. Solid roller wheels at one end help you move the long frame without carrying the full weight.

• Convoluted lid foam. The upper lid holds textured egg-crate foam while the base uses dense closed-cell polyethylene. When you clamp the latches shut, the peaks compress around the barrel and optic to stop internal shifting during transit.
• Polypropylene hard shell. We build the outer body from black polypropylene plastic measuring 48.6 inches long by 10.43 inches wide. The rigid walls take knocks and resist scuffs, while an inner rubber gasket seals out dirt and water.
• Roller wheels and valve. Solid inline wheels let you pull the case smoothly across flat ground or gravel. A manual pressure valve balances the inner air volume after elevation shifts so the shell opens without sticking.
• Snap and grasp latches. Heavy snap latches draw the rim tight against the perimeter seal to keep the lid shut fast. Wipe the exterior clean with a damp towel and dry the foam completely before long storage periods.
