We build this rose by layering fabric petals around a central bud until the blossom measures 4.3 inches across. The back carries an alloy brooch pin alongside an alligator clip with gripping teeth. It pins to a lapel or fastens directly into hair for weddings, parties, and everyday wear.

• Layered fabric petals. We shape the purple bloom from cut fabric petals that fan outward from the center. The layers hold their cupped form without stiff glue edges showing across the face.
• Dual alloy backing. The backplate holds both a metal brooch pin and an alligator clip. You can pin the rose to a coat or clip it onto a hat brim, scarf, or braided hair.
• Clip with teeth. The alligator jaw uses small metal teeth to grip hair strands and fabric folds. It stays where you pinch it without sliding down fine hair or loose knitwear.
• Care and storage. Store the rose upright in a box between uses so the outer petals do not crush. If dust settles on the fabric, brush it lightly with a dry soft cloth.
