We assemble this red rose from shaped satin petals layered around a central bud. The back carries both an alligator hair clip and a pin stem with a safety latch. Wear it tucked into an updo or pinned flat against a jacket lapel.

• Layered satin petals. Each petal is cut from red fabric and shaped by hand to build a bloom measuring 4.3 inches across and 1.9 inches high. The petals hold their cup shape without wilting during an evening out.
