We build this phone holder for commuters and touring riders who need clear sightlines on rough pavement. The clamp locks onto handlebars measuring 17 mm to 32 mm across, using two silicone spacers to take up slack. A ball swivel turns a full circle to match your screen angle.

• Handlebar clamp sizing. The base ring wraps bars from 17 mm to 32 mm wide. Two removable silicone inserts cushion the metal and stop the collar from twisting when you ride over gravel or cobblestones.
• Corner grip pads. The main bracket holds phones from 4.7 inches to 7.1 inches long. Soft silicone pads line each contact point, so the clamp grips the edges of your device without scratching the casing.
• Full swivel adjustment. A rear pivot turns 360 degrees so you can orient your map horizontally or vertically. Tighten the collar screw by hand once you find the right angle to prevent road buzz from shifting it.
• Rear storage hook. A rigid utility hook sits behind the phone carriage and holds up to 5 kg of gear. It gives you a spot to hang a small pack, grocery strap, or lightweight bag during short errands.
