We build this 2.2 inch flower on our silk bench, layering soft fabric petals around a centered simulated pearl. The back carries both a brooch pin and an alligator hair clip. You can pin it to a lapel or slide it directly into an updo for a wedding.

• Layered silk petals. We shape the fabric petals in graduated circles to give the blossom depth without adding heavy bulk. The edges hold their form across a long evening on a jacket or dress.
• Simulated pearl center. A smooth simulated pearl sits right in the middle of the bloom. We secure it firmly against the fabric base so it stays put through repeated wear.
• Dual back fitting. The back plate holds a standard safety pin clasp alongside a toothed hair clip. You can fasten it to scarves, hats, collars, or slide it straight into hair.
• Fabric flower care. Keep the silk away from water, hairspray, and direct steam. Store the piece flat in a small box so the petals do not crush between uses.
